Baghdad, Iowa will be shown at the MidWaste Showcase at Rozz Tox, July 30. The fine folks at Midwaste have written about my film in their publication White Fungus here and excerpts from my art-notebook for Baghdad, Iowa (featuring drawings, collage, and a short story) will be featured in MIDWASTE, a forthcoming publication.

Signal Cross Over, a short film by Kristie Alshaibi and Usama Alshaibi will play June 30 in Chicago as part of a group art show. More info here.

Baghdad, Iowa will have its midwestern premiere at my homebase, the Chicago Underground Film Festival on Sunday, June 5 at 6pm at Logan Theater as part of Shorts 11.  More info here. 

Hey Fort Collins, Colorado. My documentary American Arab will be playing this Saturday (April 16) at the Human Rights Film Festival at Colorado State University, Lory Student Center Theater at 4:30pm. I’ll be there for a Q&A.

 My Song (by Usama Alshaibi) will be part of an art show at Brenda May Gallery in Australia. Curated by Stefan Popescu.
